TRAINING

All personnel in our felling teams are qualified chainsaw as well as brush cutter and herbicide operators.

Certain staff have studied further to obtain their Pest Control Licence (Reg. no. P33444), Herbicide Application, Wild Fire Suppression, Health & Safety Representative, Tractor and Mounted Crane Operators with training and competency certificates on our various heavy equipment.

Apart from the above they have been vigorously trained in the art of high altitude climbing, felling, rope work and aerial rescue.

The founding member, Pieter Boshoff, spent three years in the USA and has undergone training and trained others, in this field. He has distinguished himself in pruning programmes of big trees in New York, and was part of a picked team to do line clearing and felling of hazardous trees in the aftermath of Hurricane Fran in North Carolina.
